1. What is Kompress Media?

Kompress Media is an online platform for compressing and editing media files — video, audio, and images. It reduces file sizes while preserving quality, making it easy to share, upload, or store your media.

No software installation required. Everything runs in your browser. Files are processed on our secure servers and automatically deleted after your plan's retention period.

2. Video Compression

Supported formats

Input: MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM, FLV, WMV. Output: MP4 (H.264).

How to compress a video

1. Go to the Video tool from your dashboard.
2. Click Upload or drag your video file into the drop zone.
3. Choose your quality preset (High / Medium / Low) or set a custom bitrate.
4. Click Compress and wait for processing to complete.
5. Download your compressed file or copy the download link.

3. Audio Compression

Supported formats

Input: MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG, FLAC, M4A. Output: MP3.

How to compress audio

1. Go to the Audio tool from your dashboard.
2. Upload your audio file.
3. Select a bitrate (32 kbps – 320 kbps).
4. Click Compress and download your file.

4. Image Compression

Supported formats

Input: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP. Output: JPEG / PNG / WebP (preserves original format where possible).

How to compress an image

1. Go to the Image tool from your dashboard.
2. Upload your image (or drag and drop).
3. Adjust the quality slider (1–100).
4. Click Compress and download.

5. Editing Tools

All plans include access to the full suite of editing tools. Available tools:

• Video: Crop, resize, rotate, add subtitles, extract thumbnail, convert for social media
• Audio: Volume adjustment, noise reduction, equalizer
• Image: Rotate, apply filters, resize

Access editing tools via the Editing section in your dashboard sidebar.

6. Plans & Quotas

All plans include all features — there is no functionality locked behind a higher tier. Plans differ only in monthly file quotas, file size limits, and storage duration.

Your monthly quota resets on the 1st of each month.

7. File Storage & Download

Compressed files are stored on our secure servers for a limited time depending on your plan (1, 7, or 30 days). After this period, files are permanently deleted.

You can download your files directly from the dashboard at any time during the retention period. Download links are private — they cannot be accessed by anyone else.

8. Account Management

• Change password: Go to your account settings in the dashboard.
• Cancel subscription: You can cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
• Delete account: Contact us at contact@kompressmedia.com to request account deletion.
