What is Kompress Media?

Kompress Media is an online tool for compressing video, audio, and image files. It runs entirely in your browser — no software to install. Files are processed on our secure servers and automatically deleted after a set period.

Do I need to create an account?

Yes. An account is required to use the compression and editing tools. You can sign up for free — no credit card needed.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All connections are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Uploaded files are stored privately on our servers and automatically deleted after your plan's retention period (1, 7, or 30 days). We do not share your files with anyone. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Which file formats are supported?

Video: MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM, FLV, WMV

Audio: MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG, FLAC, M4A

Images: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP

What are the available plans?

Free — 0€/month. 3 files/month, 1-day storage.

Starter — 4€/month (or 40€/year). 20 files/month, 7-day storage.

Pro — 9€/month (or 90€/year). Unlimited files, 30-day storage.

All plans include the full feature set — no functionality is locked behind a higher tier.

What does "files/month" mean?

Each compression or editing operation counts as one file. Your quota resets on the 1st of each month. If you reach your limit before the month ends, you will need to wait until the reset or upgrade your plan.

Can I change or cancel my plan?

Yes. You can upgrade or cancel at any time from your account settings. If you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.

Are subscriptions refundable?

Subscriptions are generally non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us at contact@kompressmedia.com.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept credit/debit cards (via Stripe) and PayPal. All payments are processed securely — we never store your card details.

 Compression
Will compression reduce quality?

Compression reduces file size by removing data that is mostly imperceptible to the human eye and ear. Our tools let you choose the quality level so you control the trade-off between file size and quality. At high quality settings, the difference is typically invisible.

How long does compression take?

Processing time depends on the file size and format. Most files complete within seconds to a few minutes. Large video files (1 GB+) may take longer depending on server load.

How long are my files stored?

Files are stored for 1 day (Free), 7 days (Starter), or 30 days (Pro) after processing. After that, they are permanently deleted from our servers. Download your files before the retention period expires.

Can I compress multiple files at once?

Batch processing is available on the Pro plan. On Free and Starter plans, files are processed one at a time.

 Account
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login page, click "Forgot password?". Enter your email address and we will send you a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't receive it.

How do I delete my account?

Send an account deletion request to contact@kompressmedia.com from your registered email address. We will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.

I didn't receive my verification email.

Check your spam or junk folder first. If you still can't find it, go to the login page and use the "Resend verification email" option. If the problem persists, contact us.
